How to Enable Chrome’s Reading List on Android
Luckily now the Android users can enable Chrome’s Reading List while using chrome://flags in the following steps:
- Tap on the Google Chrome app to open your Android tablet or phone
- Now tap in the address bar and type chrome://flags command
- Go to the search box at the top of the page and type the Reading List. This will search for a flag with a similar name.
- Here tap on the drop-down menu for Reading List
- Select the Enabled option from the pop-up menu
- If you want to apply these changes to Chrome then it will ask you to restart the browser. Tap on the Relaunch option at the bottom and wait to re-opening of the Chrome browser.

- Just tap and hold any link to bring up the contextual menu
- Select the Read Later option from the menu

Second Way to Add Pages to Chrome’s Reading List
The 2nd way to add pages to Chrome’s reading list once you are already on the page. Here are the following steps do this:
- Open Chrome mobile app and tap on the three-dot icon menu in the upper right side corner
- Now, at the top of the menu select the star icon
- Select the Reading List option to add the page when a menu will slide up from the bottom of the screen.
- Again tap on the three-dot icon from the top right corner to navigate the Reading List
- Select the Bookmarks option from the menu
- Tap on the Reading List available at the top of the Bookmarks page
- You will see that Reading List is organized with unread articles or pages at the top and at the bottom read pages. These unread pages have been downloaded for offline reading.
If you want to mark as read, select or delete a web page from the Reading List. Then tap on the three-dot icon next to web page and select one of the option (Mark as read, Select, or Delete) from the menu.

- First, open Google Chrome’s mobile app
- Type chrome://flags in the address bar and select in the search result
- Here tap on the drop-down menu for Reading List
- Select the Default or Disabled option from the pop-up menu
- If you want to apply these changes to Chrome then it will ask you to restart the browser.
