She made her acting debut as a special appearance guest in the 2010 bilingual action thriller Vandae Maatharam, but her first breakthrough came when she was roped to play the lead role in the 2011 Kannada film Bodyguard. After this Daisy appeared alongside Salman Khan in the Bollywood hit Jai Ho, which was released in 2014, this then led to role in Hate Story 3 the following year, 2015. Daisy Shah latest film, Race 3, was released on 15 June 2018. Which had a budget of $23 million.

Daisy Shah belongs to Gujarati family but was born and brought up in Dombivli, Maharashtra. Daisy father, who past away from a heart attack at the age of 52 in 2007, worked as a floor manager in a clothing mill in Dombivli. Her mom is an housewife and she has an older sister Deepali.
There is not much information regarding Daisy Shah family. Daisy does have a scar which is visible only by a naked eye, so it is not seem in her films. Daisy got this scar when she was in a car accident in Ooty in 2005
